Raised panel router jig
I just saw a beautifully simple jig in the latest Shop Notes mag. Basically a large adjustable angle fence hinged onto a base plate, with a hinged support bar for varying the angle of the fence. This allows you to use staight bits or moulding bits to easily create raised panels.
Cheers

If it is the article I think is was, I'd be thinking very carefully about the safety, control of the panel and the potential for kick-back before trying it. It was a bit of a worry that it is a setup that has the work piece running between the cutter and the fence.

Yes you're right, I didn't think of that.

Raised Panel
Michael,
I have a raised panel system which I have homebrewed which works quite well and can be seen at http://gallery.groov-e.com/
This used a vertical cutter, but as you can see it operates on a horizontal plane, its quite good to use easy to make and most of all its quite a safe way of doing the job.
Kind Regards Mike
