Rapidjoint connectors??
Has anyone seen these Rapidjoint joinery connectors?? They use a geared arrangment to clamp two pieces of wood together, they use them in stairases and kitchens. I saw them at www.rapidjoint.com.au there is a pre installed connector for benchtops that looks unbelievable! you dont need a special tool to tighten them iether. has anyone used them and are they as good as they look??

Gday Skipper, tell us your boat isn't called "Rapidjoint" ?
Tell us about yourself, & if no link with the company, what do you plan to use 'em for?
Otherwise, for a product flog, the etiket is to put up a post in Announcements.
Cheers..................Sean

yeh, well, ... perhaps not off to a great start, but I would also like to know if anbody has used them, & what they think.
I have used a similar setup once inseting a piece of 3/4 dowel in a hole & screwing into it instead of end grain. I am willing to bet there is a name for what I just described, but I don't know what it is. bet it is cheaper though.
steveThe fact remains, that 97% of all statistics are made up, yet 87% of the population think they are real.
