Re-Inventing Half-Lapped Dovetail Joint
Good Morning Everyone
Was fiddling on SketchUp this morning, experimenting with various joint types, and came up with one that I have called a "Half-Lapped Dovetail Joint" - pretty obvious - Probably a reinvention of something that's been around for a thousand years, and that I had forgotten!
It looks interesting, and possibly useful.
Now lets see if I can download from SketchUp here.

Haven't seen that one previously, but have seen something as a half lap T with a dovetail locking the intersecting branch into the through branch.
I used to be an engineer, I'm not an engineer any more, but on the really good days I can remember when I was.
