re : wood sealants for toddlers
talking about the aforementioned blocks I am making for the kinder does anyone have any ideas on non toxic finishes all my research points toward beeswax or vegetable oil because kiddes will put these in their mouths i want them as non toxic as possible any advice will be greatly appreciated

Why do you want to use wood sealant on a toddler?

You could always colour them with food dye then seal them with shellac.
Shellac is also used as a foodstuff so it should be safe
