What's the problem? The guy's built a theme park.
You can visit it for €5.
I suppose we could say the same for any of the sets at Movieworld too, but we think that Batman is OK. Last time I looked he was a fairly stupid concept and completely imaginary, yet people queued up to see his cave without being criticised.
If a bloke wants to make a quid by building a replica historical craft, well good on him!
Cheers,
P

The Endevour replica
- is based on fact, the ark is based on belief.
- is a working ship, that guy's so called ark would flood at the first sign of a serious wave.
- allows people to experience what it is like actually sailing such a vessel, the ark replica - sits on a barge
- was mostly built using many documented old practices and materials, the documentation for the ark is debatable.
- gave many people experience in working at these old practices.
I have no problem with people building theme parks for whatever they choose but compare the replica ark to a working replica sailing vessel (especially the way the Endeavour was built) is just chalk and cheese.

Oh boy
1) I would love to be stupid enough for over 250.000 people to have a look at what I have made and pay €5 each for the pleasure
2) Although I am not a member of any specific religion, I find that remark offensive
As far as I am concerned anybody is free to believe whatever they want, as long as they don't enforce their beliefs on me and that include Atheists too. I do not think I am primitive in that aspect just civilised.
