    Default Recessed draw pulls

    Has anyone had a go at routing recessed draw pulls.

    I thought of using a round bottomed cutter for the initial cut, then a dovetail cutter to cut a recess in the top of the previosly mentioned cut.

    I don't want to have protruding pulls because things invariably (at least when I'm in the shed) get caught on them, and I don't want to spend money (tight ##se) on shop bought ones.The cupboard in question might be a WIP when I get around to refurbing it. It's got four sturdy draws across the top and a large amount of storage space behind four doors underneath.

    Just spit-balling a this stage. Still got to lay a garden shed slab, build the garden shed, to get the crap out of the my shed and then build a bench before this happens, but half the fun is in the planning.

    I just finished child-proofing our house - but they still get inside.

    Hi,
    I used to do them every now and then. We had a drawer pull cutter, like this Finger Pull Bit : CARBA-TEC . We had a jig with the right cutout for the router base to follow, and cut first with a straight cutter just under full depth and then finished the cut with the finger pull cutter.
    Just being for the shed though, how about some routing a hollow and then putting an ally strip over to cover half the hollow. Or rebate the top of the front and screw some ally angle down into the top to create a pull? I hope you get what i mean, otherwise i can sketch it.
