    Default Recommended Wood Suppliers

Hi I live North of Brisbane (Burpengary) does anyone know of a good supplier with good stock that they would recommend? I am aware of Narangba Timber Supplies, was wondering if there was any others worth looking at.
    Cheers,
    Stu.

Hi Stu, I have found Britton timbers to be the best so far.

Thanks for that Damien, just came across them yesterday looking at a different thread. Unfortunately I am stuck in Perth now for the next 5 weeks but will check them out when I get home.

I'm from North Brissy too, and pretty new to this timber buying game. Most of my experience is at Bunnings, sadly. Anyway, I had a look at Britton's website and it looks ... intimidating. Just wondering if they do small lots for hobbyists?

Yup. They have open pack pricing which you pay a premium for, maybe 30%

I believe that if you organise in advance you can pick your own sticks

Me, too. They are also good for veneers.
