These instructions / guide / manual are from the period when the Record dowelling jig was sold under the Marples brand.
They are slightly different from earlier instructions as they are multi-language, and have some photos where the earlier instructions had sketches.
I am grateful to have these high quality scans, as I bought an unused Marples dowelling jig 148 from eBay and it came with these instructions, but it was around 1990 vintage when the Marples cost accountants had cut costs. So the manual was printed in a very small paper size with poor quality, so it has blotted splotty text in a very small font size making it difficult to read.
FYI, the Marples jig stopped being manufactured at around 1992.
I have the earlier instructions, so I will do a quality scan of these and upload them to this thread.

Record 148 Dowelling Jig - English only instructions
Well it only took about 2+ years but here is a PDF with the Record 148 instructions all in English.
Please note that the pictures are not as good as the ones in the multilanguage instructions so it pays to have both sets of instructions.New Zealand

I have since come across an earlier version of the Record 148 instructions printed before my all English version and the multi-language version as scanned in by the original poster.
It's battered and rust-stained, but the way the information is laid out is superior to these later versions, e.g. the written instructions have references to photos of the jig being used for different joint types and these photos are located alongside the instructions on the same page. This makes the instructions lots easier to follow.
There is also more information which was left out of the later versions, e.g. how to use the jig to make long mitre joints for carcases.New Zealand
