Recycled timber
G'day all,
I'm wanting to make a couple of beds up and I'm wondering if anyone could tell me of a recycled timber yard in the Sydney metro area please?
Also what do you think would be the cheapest and best wood to make them from?
Thanks
Geoff

You can try Ironwood. Their boards are clean (not nails) and are machined to standard sizes. They have larger boards and have plenty of them. Be prepared to top $$ as they are more expensive than "new" timber.
You can also try your local recycling centres. It will cost you next to nothing, but you need luck to be able to find somethig useful.

timber
I've provided enak at the formum with timber to make 2 beds.
I have plenty, some recycled, some unused at Cremorne. Check the marketplace section for some photos.
Prices will be cheaper than buying recycled. Let me know if you want to come and have a look

Anywhere closer to western Sydney??
What wood would the experienced members recommend for making a bed? I'm more than likely going to paint it.

Blackbutt or Jarrah. They are more available in the recycled timber industry. To my knowledge Ironwood is the only place sells recycled timber.
