Beautiful work Lignum. I love the cleaness of the lines.

Let me know when you can bring it over - I'll help you carry it out of the truck and into my lounge.

Lovely work, Lignum. As usual, a superb job!

    What's the finish?

Some pics with the Plasma screwed to the base. Rock solid and simple.

[edit- after all the effort that goes into stuff like this, images for the rest of your life just arnt up to it, so my 4mp camera has to go… time to upgrade]

    Hi Lignum,

Looks great mate, very neat sitting there on the back edge.

Although,... you could have got a decent size TV instead of that baby one.

Just kidding. Crickey the thing is enormous, that is real home cinema. Onya.

    Cheers

Sadly pops it aint my telly. I did try to talk them into framing the Plasma with Red Gum, 45mm thick like the legs and they didn’t want to know about it… until yesterday when i fixed it on, now they are going to “think about it” hope so, as it would be nice to frame the telly and really connect it to the base.

The only thing I would change is (if I had seen the Plasma first) to make the bottom rail slightly curved as the base of the Plasma has a silver curve inlay. It would have been a nice subtle feature

Too bad Lignum. But TVs are quite abundant, solid handmade Red Gum cabinets are not.

If I had the choice I would have your cabinet any day.

Good call on the curved rail. Making stuff for others is tricky.

    Cheers
