    Smile Reintroduction.

G,day all, I just thought it was time for a reintroduction.
I have been a member here since 2004 but have not done anything "Woody" for a couple of years , due mainly to a couple of health issues (now resolved)
Anyway I am just letting y'all know that I am back on track and looking forward to getting involved in this site.
My daughter has recently gotten engaged and has put in a few orders for furniture, so I will be pretty busy.
    Cheers Steven.

Heres one I prepared earlier, just waiting for a finish.
Got the plan from Australian woodsmith.
I have just started another one of these for my daughter.

    Very nice.

    What is the timber?

What finish are you going to use?
    Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

Cliff, Tassy oak and a couple of coats of clear, I generally let myself down in the finishing department so I tend to keep it simple.
    Cheers Steven.

    Steven,

    Nice looking cabinet.

I learned years ago that woodwork is like life -- a good finish can cover up a lot of mistakes.

I'd suggest getting the Polishers Handbook from Ubeaut (sponsor) and practice some of the tips in there. You won't regret it, and you'll be proud of your finished work.

    Tex
