Removing veneer
The table again, the oak veneer top was a complete mess and needs to be replaced, using a 1" chisel I managed to scrape off the bulk, it just splintered and lifted away.
There are a few stubborn spots where it does not want to move and the chisel just rides over the top.
The adhesive appears to be white and powdery, I suspect it may be hide glue and if it is I think if I apply hot water to the veneer it may peel away.
Any other thoughts on how to remove these problem bits.Stupidity kills. Absolute stupidity kills absolutely.
