Repair or new
I have my father in-laws chisels (not well cared for) much in need for TLC.
one I have had to make up a new handle for but this one has only had a piece taken off could I use part of the othe handle to repair it. So as to try and keep it partly original or toss it also.
If repair I would clean up and starighten the old chisel handle to accommodate a piece taken from the broken one. What glue should I use if making the repair.

If you're only keeping them for display purposes pva would do.
If you want to use them as chisels make new handles.

They do look a bit sorry for themselves. I would replace them but I guess many would find repairing them challenging.
Reality is no background music.

Well along with this post discussion on what the timber was https://www.woodworkforums.com/showth...ewpost&t=53471
I cut a peice off this block big enough for the handles
set to and tried my best to closley reproduce them making the handle for the 1" larger (father in-law has huge hands) I decided not to re-produce the shaped section..knowing FIL they wont last even if the were steel handles.
Finished them off with 100# then down to 600W/D# coat of plain laquer 600# again then wax n buffed. will make new furals and fit up during the week ahead and sharpen.
Thanks for your in put.
