You're correct - I missed that that was the blade being used. That being the case, I'd be surprised if a blunt blade was the problem. I have a similar blade on my Hammer, the Laguna is a similar set up. My blade has had a lot of use and still cuts veneers perfectly.
Is the blade sitting flat on the crown of the wheels? If so, it's got me beat.

Only other thing I can think of is a problem with the lower blade guides? As you tension the blade it isn't forcing the back of the blade into the thrust bearing?

Gave up and finished the job on the table saw.
Will see if a resharpened blade makes a difference

I like this little magnetic tool @ 406 seconds.... The Best Way to Set Up a Bandsaw
No reason to buy it, making is trivial.
Ive found that the bottom bearings being set properly was important on my saw (Laguna SUV14).

I have the same saw and was ready to wheel it out the door and set it alight because it was doing the same thing. Then i bought a carbide tipped blade and the problem was solved immediately. The blade has been on for some months now and i have not had to make any guide adjustments since the first set up.

My blades are off being sharpened now - Fingers crossed
Turns out there is only one place in Brisbane (Combined Saw and Knife) that can sharpen resaw king blades as they are variable spaced gullets.
That is if you consider deception bay Brisbane

A few years ago several of us bought Laguna SUV bandsaws (soon after they were released). Two or three of us had similar problems. We checked tension, guides, fences, squareness and so on. In all cases the problem was the three quarter inch Resaw King blades. The third one I put on my machine worked. I needed to use a grinding stone to clean up a crappy weld, which took ages, but it worked after that. These blades are well designed, but at the time were not well manufactured. I found it impossible to set the drift until I got the third blade. The dealer likely knew this, as he kept handing over new blades until I got one that worked.
The blade worked wonderfully for veneering and resawing until I took it off to use a different blade for a while. The Resaw King was hung on the wall whilst not in use. Despite this, when I tried to put it back on, the weld failed. I had a sense of humour failure. It is a very expensive blade, and if you get a good one, they are wonderful. They provide smooth cuts and a thin kerf. It was a dream when cutting thin veneers. However, my sense of humour failure led me to fit a Lenox Woodmaster which cost me $75. The Resaw King cost $250. The Lenox has a slightly wider kerf, and its cuts are not as smooth, but it has never let me down, and chugs away, month after month.
I would not buy a Resaw King again unless I was convinced the manufacturing problems had been solved. These blades appeared to be a wonderful design looking for a decent factory to make them.
Every time either of my bandsaws have given me grief the culprit has been the blade. One common issue is that the outside corners of the teeth are dull on one side, either because they were not sharpened properly in the first place or because they have hit something hard and become dull. In this situation, the blade will not run true. Sometimes it is so bad you can't even set the drift.

+1 for the Lenox Woodmaster. Brilliant. Only problem is that the narrowest width is 1" so it's too big for some saws.

Agreed, Aldav.
However, the Resaw King is a superior blade, especially for cutting veneers ... when it is made, welded and sharpened properly. It should be, it is about three times the cost of a Lenox Woodmaster CT. I just checked prices because the figures I gave earlier are several years old. The Resaw king (to fit a Laguna SUV) is about $425, and the one inch Lenox Woodmaster CT (again, to fit the SUV) is about $140.
It may be that Laguna have cleaned up their act and found a decent manufacturer. I hope so. But until I see some evidence that the manufacturing problems have been overcome I'll not be buying one. This is a shame, because the Resaw King was a faster cutter and it created such a smooth cut there was no need to put the board through the thicknesser between veneers. It is also superior in terms of blade flutter, which seems to be a function of its thinner and narrower blade which tensions more readily. Again, the Resaw King was a great design looking for a great factory to make it. However, at $425 for a blade to fit an SUV, it is a very expensive blade. Perhaps too expensive.

100% agree the RSK is an excellent blade. The one I had original was seriously impressive and Im sure there are some posts here from years back when I bought it.
BUT, it broke. And kept breaking.
Bugger that, it turned into a money pit.
So, on to the Lennox Woodmaster CT after a forum recommendation and I was impressed.
NOT as perfect off the blade, but sheesh, a trivial cleanup with 120 on the ROS and it was as good.
Sharpening is trivial and easily done at home. A simple jig works perfectly.
For the price and longevity I absolutely feel that compliments for it are warranted.

Is that still the case? - their website shows 1/2" and 3/4" also for the Woodmaster CT
Or am I misreading this?

Nevermind, too early in the day I did mis-read it, it was just referring to the tooth spacing...
