Dean,
This is a cut & paste from an American review isn't it ?

No,
Review is original. I can assure you because I wrote it myself! Just in US English because that is where the most number of people who visit the site come from.

Yes, but how about all of the references to American suppliers. Did you actually have these products shipped from Amazon via UPS? Sounds suspicious to me, Dean.

No certainly not!
We affiliate with Amazon and Rockler just to try to cover some costs with running the site. Nothing suspicious about it!

Dean,
I've been interested to watch your site grow from a 3 review site into the popular resource it is. As more people see it you'll get more content and more viewers.
I'm glad to see you have some sponsership for the page.
Congratulations and I hope you make a million bucksGreat minds discuss ideas,
average minds discuss events,
small minds discuss people

Thanks Dave,
Good to see some support.
I think a million bucks is out of the question. If somehow I made a million from the site, I'd buy every active member on this forum a new Orange respirator
Reality is, that I don't even make 1/4 the money via the affiliate programs than it costs each month to keep the site up, and thats on a good month
The site is really just there for you guys, the woodworkers of the world, to read up on features and performance of the various products. If I wanted to make serious money from it, I'd probably be submitting the reviews to hard copy magazines instead of publishing them freely or having people pay to access the site, but I'm keeping it free for everyone and anyone to view at any time.

Yes...
I don't follow what you are getting at?
I write in US English with US Spelling all the time for magazines.

Fair enough. It made it a little hard to believe it was a 'local' review, that's all.

I have had a look a few times ...... mainly to read what the great cyclone guru had to say and have found it to be very good thus far. It is often difficult to find any review on woodworking products and that is why we so often have to post our questions here. I just hope that if you do get a dodgy product you will give it a real going over and not try to cover up for the manufacturer. I am not suggesting that you only give positive views, I just haven't read a review with a negaitve comment yet, it may be the case everything reviewed so far has been good. It does seem to be quite well balanced as I recal the review on the GMC lathe that suggested it wasn't the bee's knees but for the price it was a good entry level unit ..... which is what I have found with GMC products so far.
Keep up the good work ..... I hope you do a review on the Trition dust mask soon as I don't want you to give me a shonkey product.

1879 x $250 = $469,750.00.
What else can we get ??????
Don't go to a certain Bunnie for your 1879 masks as they wouldn't give the discount ..... go directly to Taiwan

Stinky,
We really havent had a 'dud' product yet actually.
Not one that has blown up in our faces, died after short periods of use or things like that. We try to review products in a blanced manner but also taking into account the price tags, like you mentioned with the GMC lathe review... For the price, it works well and is a good beginners lathe. We don't say "this is a totally useless lathe, go and get a $1000 one" because naturally, a higher priced one will likely be much better.
We try to explain all the features in better depth than you would find on the product packaging or in the manufacturers product blurb.
We would never cover up for a manufacturer... If we did, we would be doing a dis-service to all the readers who would essentially, be reading un-true material. We certainly will not have that occur. So far, everything we have tried has been quite good considering the value of each and hopefully we continue to find that the case.
