Review - Veritas Low Angle Smooth Plane

Thanks for sharing Dean. Nice work to you Derek. After using a LAS of a friend, my old Stanley # 4 just felt different in my hands. With the low angle of the blade, but the same pitch, it seems to take much less effort to produce fine shavings on tough wood. I can't speak to the physics of it, but it seems the more force is put into the cut with the lower angle than with the blade at the traditional 45 degree. I can't describe it but I can feel the difference.

Those are my principles, and if you don't like them . . . well, I have others.
