Default REVIEW - Veritas Router Plane

    Hi all,

Derek Cohen has finished his Veritas Router Plane review assignment and it is now available for viewing on OnlineToolReviews.com
    Here's the link > http://www.onlinetoolreviews.com/rev...outerplane.htm

NOTE - The review contains LOTS of images so may take a while to completely load on your screen. Derek has done a fine job of reviewing this item and making comparisons to similar models. Well done Derek.

Well worth a read for all the hand plane lovers out there

    Hi Dean - and Derek!

Once again, a superb review by Derek.

I most certainly do not possess even a fraction of Derek's skills, but just have to comment that my experiences with this lovely little tool, once I had figured out the need for a supplementary base if basic registration is slight, have been all positive.

I hadn't thought to use this tool for finishing a tenon - must try!

Although I have the small blade holder from LV, I must admit that honing is more reliant on hand-eye coordination than the inherent accuracy and stability facilitated by the Vertas MkII honing jig.

All in all, the LV Router Plane has a prime place in my hand-plane cabinet.

    Cheers!

This is an excellent review. Well, it's a bit more than a review. It's also a tutorial on the use of a router plane. Well illustrated and full of useful information.

Thanks, Derek and Dean. Another classy piece of work.
