Router Plate Levelling
Hi WWF,
The levelling (grub) screws on my router plate are unscrewing while routing resulting in the plate becoming un-level after a couple of mins. of routing.
Does anyone know how to prevent this from happening ?

Loctite 290
Loctite 290 is a wicking threadlocker designed for locking adjustment screws subject to vibration. Unlike most normal threadlockers you don’t have to remove the screws and coat the threads first; just set the screws in their final position and dribble the fluid around the thread edges. It’s a thixotropic compound that instantly wicks its way through the threads and then sets solid. Down the track if you need to make further adjustments the seal will break without too much torque but you will need to completely remove the screw and clean the threads before re-applying fresh threadlocker.
Nothing succeeds like a budgie without a beak.

A few rounds of plumbers teflon tape might also do the job

Tried the plumbers tape and it slowed the process.
Loctite next
