yea, got them from brownells, the gun line checkering set, good to start out with a middle size as the smaller ones are a little fiddly and the big ones have to remove alot of material to get the depth correct.
re. the woodleighs yes, definatly a hand load as the cartridge is esentialy unobtainium commercialy, but very easy to reload them, world class aussie made bullets too!

oh nice, i realy rate the taylor, great cartridge.
those boyds stocks are fantastic value, well put together and they have some great colours to choose from.
unfortunatly they dont have a lot of options in lefthand and i priced the blanks to freight and it was over $100 just for freight.
i suppose it is understandable tho as they are fairly big and heavy as a blank.
are you going to bed them? the m77 is a little tricky to bed but not too bad. i would be more than happy to help but dunno how far from darwin you are? if i can help in any way let me know.
    all the best

    those pillars are exelent.
ok a few tips, key out the wood with a dremel or a small drill bit, say 3 or 4 mm max is good so it looks like this

then i use a butter knife to "spread" the bedding compound. the one i used here is devcon steel, the trick is to spread the compound arround and liberaly coat the area to be bedded.
then i heap some more devcon into the center so when you sit the action into the extra will squeeze out and fill the space. you want too much so the space is filled any extra will be ground/sanded off when it is set.
if you clamp it down and you dont have any compound getting squeesed out, pull it back out and add more then sit the action back into the stock, you want the bedding area filled.
gee its hard to think about this sort of stuff when you not doing it.
i mite run a thread on bedding when i do the next one.
