I use silverglide on my table saw (and other tools). Does a great job of preventing rust, and keeps things moving. Highly recommend it.

I have a 1 hp dust extractor which works OK, but if I were buying again I'd spend the extra on a 2hp. Not a lot more $ or more space required, and my mates who have the 2 hp say it's the bee's knees.

I'm with Tex B. I use Silverglide. It does a great job provides lots of frictionless slide and and doesn't affect the timber.
    It's available from Carbatec.
I also have a 2 HP dust extractor and that is what I would recommend. It has twice the airflow. I also have a pleated filter cartidge on top and while they are not cheap, I wish I had spent the money years ago!
Lungs are also not cheap to replace.

I discovered a new table saw anti-rust treatment. I service/fix all my chainsaws on the table and bar oil leaks all over it. I just wipe it down when I need to use the saw.

Serioulsy - I use sponsors product natural wax.

A 1HP DC is insufficient for most Table saw, You need 2 dust collection points - one underneath, and 1 above atop the blade guard. 2HP minimum.

These pleated cartridges, do you need compressed air to clean them or what.
Are you saying the normal bag ones let a lot of dust through.

The pleated cartridges filter out a lot more of the very fine particles, which are the ones that damage your lungs in the long term. Being pleated they also have a bigger surface area so they give better airflow.
They usually have an inbuilt cleaner which you give a few turns to in order to clean it.
Here is a quote from Carbatec's website: "These types of filters provide even more filtration than our standard top filter bags. This is possible because of the increased surface area of the fabric mesh used. The mesh is folded into pleats which also help maintain maximum air flow for more efficient filtration. Our filter material is made in Japan and is able to filter nearly 75% of particles at 1 micron, over 90% of particles at 3 microns and 98.5% at 5 microns. This makes your workshop a safer and healthier place to work in. Made with a sturdy pressed metal outer frame and an extra heavy duty mesh screen, these filters are made for years of service. A convenient cleaning handle is located at the base of the cartridge, allowing you to clean it without removing it from the machine."
    Cheers,
    Steck
