i would be reluctant to say that a circular saw would be compatible with a track unless you use something like a proprietary Kreg adapter plate. However a lot of tracksaws are compatible with other brands of tracks.

probably cheaper and easier to just build you're own "track" for the circ saw then trying to get the circ saw to be accurate on the track.

there's probably a few hundred of these types of videos on youtube.

I used this method for years and it will do what the tracks will do with a standard saw. The Festool saw itself achieves a must cleaner cut and another level to what you can achieve out of any standard power saw so there is nothing to be gained trying to jig up a system with the tracks IMO

I made this jig for my Makita which allows me to use a cheap piece of Ozito track with it:

The track is better and cheaper than the Makita version and is half the price. Post some pictures of both the Festool track and the Ryobi saw so we can see whats needed to be made to make them compatible.

Agreed.

Like Beardy said in another post, I have used these for a long time and I can't remember how many I have made. Sometimes I have stored them poorly and they have warped and sometimes I can't remember where I have stored them. Also each saw requires it's own track as they are all different. This style can be made to suit two different saws: One on one side and one on the other. Actually, different blades can also affect the accuracy particularly if going from a standard blade to a thin kerf, although with the cordless saw it probably only uses the one thin kerf.

The track guide needs to be straight, but not necessarily parallel. The first cut of the saw will set the edge. Try to limit the thickness of the base sheet and the guide as both of these lessen the depth of cut: The latter as the circular saw motor may not sit right down if the guide is too thick. Often there is no clearance between the saw base plate and the motor when at maximum depth.
