scintilla jig saw
I have owned a Scintilla SA jig saw for over 40 yease and yesterday I lost the grub screw that holds the blade in position. Been on the net and no luck finding the company or a distrubitor in au or elsewhere .Can anyone help with a distributor, agent, whatever,Many tthanks in advance.

Grub screws are mostly a dime a dozen. Find a specialist nuts and bolts place.
Take the tool down.
40 years old, it would prob be a non-metric thread.
OK, you're in the sticks. Find an industrial supplies place (bearings etc) or a decent auto parts place and see if they can tell you the thread specs. Then ...
Another option is to get a HSS set of metric taps, find the closest and retap. Then you'll likely find a GS from Repco etc in a mixed pack.

Scintilla were the origins of Bosch power tools.
Look for your local bosch power tool repair centre and they should keep the original screws in stock.Jim Carroll
