Scott Horsburgh DVD's
Hi,
I am just wondering if anybody has watched any of his DVD's? He has studied under David Charlesworth so he must be a very talented craftsmen.
I was flicking through the latest AWR mag and saw his advert. Some of the DVD's i'm thinking of getting are the
- "How to make and fit unique cabinet hardware"
- "How to prepare a carcass for piston fit drawers and how to make and fit piston fit drawers"
This is something I really want to get better at so i'm thinking of giving these titles to family for xmas ideas.
Thanks for any feedback,
Andy

I've seen some short preview clips either on youtube or on his website. The clips seemed ok. Also the fact that he's Australian and hopefully presenting locally relevant content appealled to me. He is a member so he might tell you himself ! Let us know if you find the videos helpful.

Yeah I noticed he was a member. Last time he was on the site was 18 months ago though.
I have been looking for a DVD on drawer construction and how to size/fit doors on cabinets and he seems to cover all of these in the DVD's. Another one i'm looking at is David Charlesworths's range of DVD's.
I find I learn more if I watch it rather than read it.

G Day All
I have watched some of Scotts DVDs and have found them a good resource, he goes through the steps one by one. He is particular on glue ups and preperation. It is good to see furniture being made from Australian timbers by Aussies.
Cheers Gerry

Re Scott Horsburgh dvd's
Hi Andy,
The two dvd's you mention were filmed whilst making the sideboard you saw in my advertisement in the latest edition of the AWR. With the drawer making dvd I started the process right at the start of the carcass preparation to show you everything that I do to prepare the carcass initially. Once I have explained the carcass in detail I then show you how to make and fit the piston fit drawer. The process is not difficult once you know how. My website lists all of the various chapters contained in each dvd. They are the only dvd's that I am aware of that show the entire process from start to finish.
If you haven't joined my website, please do. I frequently put new articles on the website and hey are all free to members.
I hope you buy my dvd's. They took me a long time.
Scott
