    Default Screws for drawer fronts

    I'm looking for washer head Phillips screws, 25 and 28mm long, for attaching false fronts to some drawer boxes I've made. I can only find them from US-based suppliers e.g. Woodcraft. Does anyone know of a source for these here in Australia? The closest I've been able to find here are these.

    Thanks Fubar, I did look at the Zenith and Buildex wafer head screws at Mitre10 and at the big green shed, but they were all yellow zinc or white painted for construction use, or sheet metal screws. I couldn't find any regular zinc or any that were partially threaded that were less than 2-3 inches long.

    I probably should have said that these drawers are handle-less (push to open), so the only thing that'll be holding the fronts on are these screws. So I'm not keen to use regular csk screws which I'd probaby be OK with if there were washer/pan/wafer head screws attaching drawer handles or pulls.

    The screws in your links look like pocket hole screws, Carbatec sell them here : http://www.carbatec.com.au/kreg-indi...w-packs_c11303

    But they are also square drive, not the Phillips that you're looking for.

    When I wanted something specifc I went to Coventry Fasteners in Alexandia but I also know that they have two locations around Sydney. I would suggest taking a look at this website www.coventryfasteners.com.au and it seems that they have expanded the business as it now takes me to this webpage. http://www.konnectshop.com/

    I just go down to my local Ace hardware and buy a box as needed.

    However, I think the better choice there may be Kreg screws. They are self drilling and a true clamping device.

    Even the non washer head Kreg (Only 1") would be more than sufficient to hold the drawer front on. Remember your drawer pulls are going to need screws through the drawer box and drawer front.

    I would be a bit concerned about the screws driving through if they were the 1-1/4" Kreg variety. I'm thinking 1/2" Baltic birch drawer box and a 3/4" drawer front and the Kreg washer head screws are 1-1/4".
