Serving board finish
Perhaps this should go into the finishes section, however I was wondering if anyone had some advice on how best to finish my Blackbutt serving boards. I will not be chopping etc. on them, just serving cheese and charcuterie, so can use a finish which may not hold up otherwise. Despite plenty of sanding, the surface remains slightly irregular, and i was wondering whether a wax based finished might give the smoothest result. It is beautiful timber, I was told 150 year old Blackbutt, but I have been told many things. Thanks for any advice.
