Sharpening jointer and thicknesser blades in the Central Coast NSW
Hi all,
Ive moved to the central coast a little while ago and am struggling to find a professional to sharpen jointer or thicknesser blades.
I searched in the forum but no success so if anyone could point me in the right direction it would be great.
Cheers
Raf

Haha you bet!
With machinery you go like, where Im gonna put my money on now!! I still want a band saw next and maybe a festool domino next in the list, but after that definitely upgrading my carbatec bench thicknesser to a cast iron 3hp one.
Hard to buy thicknessers in Australia, I tend to choose between hafco and carbatec..

All you need is to make a jig and do them yourself. I made one similar to this.
DIY planer blade sharpening jig | Blade sharpening, Recycled wood projects, Woodworking techniques
There are plenty more on line with how to make them. Then your choice of sandpaper, stones or diamond plate. They are seriously sharper than when new. If you also have a spare set of blades then you are always ready to go with a sharp set on hand.
