    Default sheets of cork

Many of us would use sheet cork in our sheds. I use it on coasters, on the bottom of some objects so they sit well and I need some at the moment because I need to custom-make a couple of curved sanding blocks for a particular purpose.

I found a cheap source of supply yesterday at Ikea.

They sell cork placemats, just corksheet about 1/8" thick. Nothing else, no plastic or wood, just plain cork. 42 x 32 cm - plenty big enough for almost anything I can think of needing.

They cost $3.99 for a four-pack, which I thought was good value. It works out at less than $7.50 per square metre. Product name is AVSKILD.

I dont know if anyone sells it cheaper but for that price I bought a couple home and it should last me a long time.

    Hope this helps someone

    Cheers

    Doug
I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.
