    Default Shooting board ?

Have been doing some research on shooting boards, seems most are designed to handle short work pieces, I am wondering if it's practicle to make one up to handle material up to 2m long x approx 35mm thick or are there practical limitations that would prevent this

Santalum, wouldn't an outrigger support be all you need? I might have missed your point??

I assume you want to square the 35mm end to the 2m length?

If so, the size of the shooting board (up to a point) doesn't really matter. Place the 'end you want to square' up against the shooting board stop and support the other end with a block of wood to get it level.

If you are needing to square the 2m long faces up to each other then judicious use of a plane and try square, or a jointer is the way to go.
