    Default Shutter pins

    Hi All,
I am planning on making some wooden shutters for my windows (with movable louvers). Does anyone know where I can buy/order the shutter pins to make these? Thanks for any help,
    Kale

I don't know where you would buy them in Australia (unless Hafele sell them), but you can buy them from Rockler in the US. They're not very expensive.

    Here's a link: http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?p...1&cookietest=1

    Default Make some

Why not take a 3 inch nail and cut short lengths to suit. File the sharp edges and just make sure the holes you drill are ever so slightly oversize. If you are worried about the shutter binding in humid weather, a bit of wax in the hole should help.
