I would have used tite bond 2 but the wait on shipping was too long for the project, I am building a table top from Spotted gum flooring, glued the first 2 together under clamp and wow this stuff really foams the joins seem clean where they were perfectly flush but towards the ends of the wood where there was points of a mm diff I can see small bubbles this will be waste timber anyway so not a biggy.

Im wondering how strong this stuff really is with all those bubbles and foaming etc. I could have used 2 part epoxy as I have plenty on hand.has anyone found this stuff to fail under any circumstances of should I be fine with it for the application.

Also what is the easiest way to clamp a large table top without clamps? My clamps are a tad shy of the project to do the final glueing. Could I use ratchet straps and guide wood to keep everything straight? Guide wood on the ends and under the straps? Wood running near the length of the strap top and bottom and a frame so to speak around the whole job for pressure there too.

If this is not clear I can try and explain it better. I need a fair bit of pressure as some of the slats are slightly warped, I have dealt with the wide side warping but without a thicknesser can't get them dead perfect on the short side.

Thanks
