Silver Glide seperating in heat
Hi, my Silver Glide is not coping with the heat, I don't think it gets to 40c in Germany. Will this be a problem and how do other users store theirs?

The Silver Glide should still be OK once it cools down.
Ive got an old fridge (motor doesnt work), I store all my finishes, glues etc in there. Works well.Regards

I keep mine in the beer fridge, along with other finishes, next to the shot glasses

Just stir it, no need for any special storage.

Have had the same problem with waxes and glues in the heat in the past. I don't have a fridge in the shed [ I need my daily exercise walk to the house to get my beer ] but I do have a large old styrofoam esky which has been "glue washed" to form a skin over it and to slow down the bumps etc. This is where I keep my glues, waxes, silverglide etc - the silverglide tin is also captured in its own tupperware type container to avoid any creep out of the tin, especially when it gets hot - DAMHIK.
Regards,
Bob

Thanks guys. I've put the Silver Glide (and glue) in the house as I don't use it all that often and I don't have the luxury of a fridge in my shed. My Silver Glide tin has a ring around it so I've got it in a box now. It's good stuff so it's worth looking after.
