Simple table top layout
A friend asked me how to lay out the shape of a typical Georgian serpentine table top. I tried to explain the 3-6-8-12 arcs principle, but the email began to confuse me (not difficult!), so I superimposed the arcs on a photo of a period table top to better illustrate the rule.
I thought someone here may find it of use too.

I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.

"3-6-8-12 arcs principle"
Do you times the principle number by 3-6-8-12 for each dia?
ie P=100 / 300-600-800-1200?
This would make your table's arc principle number(P) of 25.4 or 1" yes?
