    Default Slab for Weather Instruments

    Hi,

    I would like to mount a clock, barometer and thermometer on a slab for a friend of mine.

    Can someone inform me on where I can source some offcuts or a small slab for my project

    Brad's Burls in Peakhurst have some very nice clock slabs for just this sort of thing. I bought a beautiful piece of red mallee for $25 a couple of weeks ago.
    I am still working up the nerve to attack it with a plane to get the surface flat and free of saw marks
