Default Where to get sleeves or bushes

I want to put a 10mm bolt through a piece of timber, but want it to be able to rotate. I would prefer to have a small bush or sleeve in the timber that the bolt would snugly fit through. The timber wil be about 15mm thick.

Can anyone please tell me where I might be able to get some of these?
    regards,

    Dengy

    Some key parameters are
    1) What speed or RPM?
    and
    b) What load?
    c) What direction is the load in - is it perpendicular to the bolt or parallel?

Low speed - low load, then plastic will probably be OK.
I'm lucky to have access to scrap bits of teflon which make great bearings and I turn them up on a WW lathe but black polyethylene is pretty good.
Brass or copper tubing make more attractive low speed low load bearings.
High speed or high Load will need a roller or ball bearing.

Thanks BobL - this is only for swivelling an extension table in to position on a thicknesser stand, so there is no rpm

Is the extension height adjustable. If yes I would use black PE as the PE will creep and flatten in time - If no, plastic would still be OK for a while I would use brass or copper pipe. If its too big just cut a slot in it and bend it over till it fits the hole.

Any bearings supplier, such as CBC bearings, will stock bronze bushings. Have a look in the yellow pages under 'bearings', for someone in your area.

    Late arrival (time difference, y'know).

Might not be available in 10mm, but I've made smaller standoffs from brake line tubing - from auto parts shops.

    Cheers,
