Sliding Pegboard tool rack Question
Afternoon All - I have knocked up an experimental peg board for light hand tools using a couple of the basic Euro bottom mount draw runners to support a double sided pegboard on 19 x 32 frame about 1100 high X 550 wide X about 25mm O/A thickness. The format currently is using two left hand runners - one top & one bottom on the same side with limit boards opposite to contain everything as the frame is pulled out.
Works reasonably well in practice but by using non full extension slides, as lot of wast hanging area / space.
The units will be mounted in an ex ceiling height wall oven unit carcase - 2 x draws below and double door cupboard above, cabinet width can allow 4 or 5 of these frames in the one 600 wide unit depending on spacing & what is being hung.
Now looking at doing the board properly using 45Kg capacity, 550mm full extension runners - my thinking now is to use one runner on each side, one top & one bottom each with an opposing limit board.
Is this likely to be better than using top mounted runners on each side with an alloy angle in a bottom rebate to guide the panel ( stop any swinging ) as moved in & out ?
Any suggestions appreciated as first time I have tried using a pendulum to hang tools on.
Thanks
UPO - ( Richard)

Two top-mounted, with the bottom guided, should be superior to one above and one below. In the above and below combination, one or the other would carry the load, but not both. Since pegboard is somewhat flexible, hanging would also be more stable.
