Odd isn't it. Anyway i'll keep digging and see if I can find the cause.

As of right now it's fixed for me, sub-5 second load times
Have just noticed that this https:// is missing from the address everywhere for WWF even if I use the link from a search on the net as well as my bookmark ????
Everything is zippy for me. But my path is totally different than yours. And I believe that the server is here in the US. Unless Neil changed things.
Hi there, we've always hosted it in the US. We made a lot of progress with fixing the problem last night and more so this morning. I'm seeing between 3-5 seconds depending on the page. I've got some more changes in the pipeline related to the theme. Just need to get the boss onboard :2tsup: It'll make a huge difference compared to what we see now!
Not only still very slow but my view of the "Activity Stream" page now shows no activity for the last few hours but when I refresh the page the clock reads the correct time. On the "New Posts" page the new posts are appearing.
Hi Bohdan, sorry to hear it's still slow for you. When you say very slow, is it as bad as it was a couple of days ago? Can you please give me an idea how long a typical page takes to load for you? For me it is bouncing between 5-6 seconds for the homepage and 3-5 seconds for most others.
Good pickup with the Activity stream. That script is really old and has some non-secure URLs hardcoded in it, i've updated them and it should be working again.
Appreciate your help mate
The good news is that it now appears to be about 3-4 secs and the "Activity Stream" page has come good.
I’m surprised you are US hosting a predominately Australian forum, why? I presume you don’t really have the budget for CDNs to help with load times and media etc.
I obviously can't speak for the forum, but I think you'll find that any given hosting budget will go a lot further in the US than it will in Australia, and that might play a part.
For one of our clients, we have a couple of dedicated servers running out of a data centre in Canada (pretty much an identical market to the US) - two full physical machines that we can pretty much do whatever we want on them, with 1Gb/sec bandwidth to each machine and unlimited traffic.
The price we pay for all that gets about a half a server here with obscenely low limits on traffic and a comparatively small backbone to the Internet.
EDIT: Having just had a couple of days of comparatively pretty snappy forum response/load times, it's back to slow-mo tonight, 10-15 or more seconds per page transition... not complaining, just providing feedback in case it's useful!
Yeah I noticed the slowness last night as well but all good now.
Also my last Report only took about 5 to 10 secs as opposed to 1 to 2 minutes :2tsup:
