Thread: "Old" Sorby Chisels

I keep hearing that the older sorby's chisles are of superior quality compared to they ones they sell today. My dad just gave me a set that he bought about 20 years ago that have handles that look something like birdseye maple (maybe another kind of wood). Are these considered "old" chisels. I'm not going to go buy a different set if it turns out that they are newer, but I amp curious.
