Source of odd-leg flap hinges?
I'm trying to locate a source of odd-leg flap hinges (for drop leaf tables), approximately 120mm x 50mm (or 4.75" x 2" in the old currency).
Graeme Brown lists some, but they're fairly light weight. Blanl hinges may also be suitable, but the only ones I've found are even-leg examples from McMaster in the US.
Has anyone come across such hinges on their travels or while on the net?.
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.

G'day WW. In my ignorance, I don't know what you mean, exactly, by 'odd leg' hinges, but am presuming they are something like 'rule-joint' hinges?
If so, the only source of same that I know of is good old Lee Valley:

But these are only 1/3rd the size of what you are asking about, so I'm probably barking up the wrong pole entirely.
Cheers,IW

Thanks Ian. Those are similar to the items I'm looking for with the exception I would like traditional steel ones. Brass is incorrect for these hinges.
For clarity's sake, I sketched the hinges I'm after. If anyone else has any suggestions, I'm all ears..

Never heard of them. Are they used on the leg of the table or the drop down leaf. I made a drop leaf table some years ago and used back flap hinges but I don't think that is the sort of hinge to which you are referring.
I see you have added a diagram of the hinges and they do look somewhat like a back flap hinge.Reality is no background music.

They are similar to a back flap hinge, except that one leaf, or flap, is longer than the other to bridge the rule joint on the drop table leaf. The countersinks are also on the opposite side to other hinge forms to allow the hinge knuckle to protrude into the edge of the fixed timber top at the centre of the rule joint moulding.
I've attached another rough drawing..

Have you asked them whether they have or can get larger ones?

That's far too obvious a tactic for me! I'll give them a call.
