Default Sources of Supply 8" F/Extension Drawer Slides

Can anyone help with pointers to sources of supply (preferably in Australia) of 8" (203mm) full extension drawer slides. The email I sent to Wilson & Bradley bounced because their mail server seemingly thinks Bigpond is a spam source. Will ring them tommorrow but their catalog doesnt seem to go below 10".

I'm building the DP Table from Shopnotes V16/No94 and the small drawer uses 8" FE slides. If I cant find a source of supply then I may/will have to redesign.

Stockists in East Gippsland Bairnsdale/Sale VIC would be very preferable but I think this will be mail order only and probably from the US.

    Thanks in advance

    Default Drawer slides

G'Day Peter. I assume you are looking for the filing cabinet type slides and if so there are several stockists near me in SA. Galvin Hardware would be my first choice. Not sure if they do mail order but it might be worth a try if all else fails.

    Hope this helps.

I know Hettich make 250mm ones, in fact I have a pair of those in the shed (I think-too cold to check tonight)

Our local Home Hardware and the local bench top place both stock those.

    Edit:

Just checked Elraco and they only go down to 250mm as well, both in Zinc and Black

I'd give Wilson & Bradley a wide berth, I drove there especially to get some Accuride undermount drawer slides they had listed on their website, I got there. Don't have them and we won't get them in for you I was told. whattheheck? I thought.

I asked for a referral, and was told to go down Grange Rd to Hinge-Fit.

    177-179 grange rd, Fairfield. 9499 2833

It was a dingy place, got there, they asked what I wanted, couldn't track it down on the net and ended up phoning through to Grass in Austria to get the original (of which Accuride is a copy, from what I can find out) and ordering one unit for me.

1 1/2 weeks later it was at their joint for me to collect.

I'd highly recommend them, they were very happy to go the extra mile to find exactly what I needed.
I make things, I just take a long time.

Thanks for the pointers so far.

On rereading the Shopnotes it appears they used Knape & Vogt KV slides.
Slide used is KV 4100 P08

Australian agent appears to be Artia (Coventry Group) in Smithfield.

Have sent their Melbourne office an email, but if anyone knows of a retail stockist of KV slides in East Gippsland info would be appreciated. May yet have to order from the US.

HELP - agents for Knape & Vogt in Australia (Artia) dont respond to email and when phoned dont acknowledge that they are agents.

Can anyone point me to an online source of 8" (203mm) full extension drawer slides, any brand. Woodworkers Hardware in the USA dont ship outside USA, Cabinet Parts want US$89 as minimum postage (for US$12 item this doesnt seem optimum).

Looks like I might be forced into a redesign if someone cant help.

Can you get a standard slide from the big green box, cut it to length and drill some extra holes?

    Default runners

    Peter
Have not seen a 200mm Full Ext Runner.
250mm is the shortest we go in the 45mm wide ball bearing style

Can help with a "Groove runner"
Used mainly in those fold up white placky coated drawers

    182mm long x 17mm tall and 10mm wide
Inner section slides both ways with a loss of travel of 75mm
    Load of 10kg

If this helps we have them in stock
