    Default Sourcing timber in SEQ

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum. Currently working on some timber furniture and cabinetry as part of my home renovation. I need to source some American (White) Oak and Blackwood (Acacia Melanoxylon) preferably from the SE Qld area. Any suggestions?

I used to go there at Salisbury. Do they have a new shop?

He's moved but haven't been to the new place. Not sure if it's walk-in or not. I've had timber delivered since then. I see the website hasn't been updated.

Thanks Cgcc I'll have a look! I recently went to Mathews Timber. Undressed timber was good albeit a little expensive.

Unfortunately not great news about Watts Wood. They used to be in Salisbury but were forced to move and now have a shared warehouse in Underwood. Give them a ring and they may be able to help with some woods but their stock is nothing like it used to be. They sold a lot of stock to Mathews Timber to fit into their new space.

There is also Bliz Timber in Loganholme, used to be Bootle Timber.

I have dealt with the owner a few times, last few times as they were leaving Salisbury. I had very good experiences. Coincidentally I ran into Bootle timber when I was ringing around for something specific and was very pleased with them as well.
