South Australia EMC
Hi there,I am of the opinion that seasoned timber for the South Australian climate must be between 9-11% EMC. We are in winter at the moment here in South Australia, how much moisture could a properly seasoned piece of timber be expected to take on over the winter months?Sam.

I have just done a walk around the shed with my moisture meter and have found some pieces to be as high as 14-15% while some are below the 6% which is the moisture meter's lowest reading.

I am sort of guessing that this is also dependant on the timber species.
I sometimes do a check on a few pieces and don't really get anything lower than 12%. Have not done any continued check so it has been pretty random.
