south west Sydney mill?
I have literally just unloaded a silky oak log 700mm diameter and about 1500mm long. It was cut down today and a mate 'dropped it off' tonight. It is TOO dark and TOO cold to photograph it now but there is no sign of rot nor hollowing. We know the history of the tree and so would like to have it slabbed and air dried for future special projects. Can anyone suggest a portable miller who'll come to me in the Camden area?

Try the Australian WOod Review - there's a former owner of the chainsaw shop from Lumeah that lives in Bargo now (name escapes me) I've seen an advert in the last year or so.
