I am a retired Joiner with 50 years experience and I used quite a few machines from saws and planers to spindles and tenoners
I think the most important other info you need is that you must start with a small cutter / job to get some idea first
because this is the one machine that has claimed more bits than any other and must be treated with absolute respect
I have never bought my own because I cannot see the point as virtually all jobs can be done avoiding it and the tooling is very expensive for a hobbyist
