Is there a difference
In a previous thread I asked about the availability of imperial screw nuts.
On making phone calls to specialist nuts and bolts suppliers I find I am being offered
Screw Nuts, Insert Nuts. and Skein Nuts.
Question.......... are these the same or similar or are they totally different animals??
Thanks
Macca:confused:

Do a search...
And you get this!
Skein nuts.
First hit on google.
Screw nut, looks like a screw with an internal thread instead of external like a regular screw.
Insert nut would be some kind of insert with an internal thread. What it has on the outside I have no idea.
I'd say they are all different to each other. How much different is up to you. Might pay to go have a look rather than just make a call in this case.
