Spraying Stain Safety MASK?
Gday everyone. Just hopen someone can give me some advice on a good quality safety mask which will work when spraying mirotone stains.
Have not got a designnated spray booth, all I have is two large fans at one end of the shed to blow majority of the fumes out o the shed however when spraying inside toy boxes, bookcases, etc the fumes come right back in my face.
I know this is very toxic, need some ideas on what everyone out there suggests. Any way of setting up extraction or good quality masks will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance. Regards, Adam

I use this one from Sundstrom when I started working with epoxies and paints and find it very comfortable and easy to use.
Sundstrom SR-100
I originally had one that I'd picked up at Bunnings and it was complete rubbish - never ended up using it so for the sake of my health I decided to spend the extra dollars on a good one.
I use it with both a particle and gas filter fitted at the same time so it covers me for the woodworking as well.
Hope this helps,
Steve.

Couldn't agree more. The sundstrom masks are as good as it gets. You can get cartridges for a variety of applications and you can stack the filters. If you are using nitrocelulose lacquer you should, by law, be doing it in an approved booth. However, most importantly, get a good mask and make sure it fits. Go to a good automotive spray supply shop. they will be more than willing to help.
