Squatter's Chair
Does anyone know where I can get plans for an old style squatters chair. My Grandmother had some in Cairns and I've always wanted to make one. The one I have in mind had extended swing arms at the back with a hole in them holding a glass of beer securely while the long front arms were out there supporting your feet. The closest I've seen are in Ron Edwards' book 'Bushcraft #1' and neither of his has the swing arms.

You might try RM school of wood in Capalaba Queensland.
He runs an all inclusive course on building a squatters chair, he may sell you some plans or course notes.
Of if you are close enough he'll hold your hand while you build one, guaranteed result.

Why didn't anyone tell me that an article is in the Nov/Dec1993 issue of the Australian Woodworker. It's only 10 years old. Does woodworking effect the memories. Thanks anyway to soundman. I've now got what I want.

I have been keeping an eye out for these plans ever since I saw it made on one of the older DIY shows (shirl the curl I think).
