Stained glass window frame
Not really sure where to put this and General Woodwork seems as good as a place as any. Girl I work with is into doing stained glass work. She needed a frame for one of her pieces. She brought me a really bad piece of red oak and asked me to make a couple cuts in it for her. I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I made this frame out of canarywood. Then, worried about the simple miter joints holdng the weight of the glass, finished it up with some purpleheart splines. Now she's strong. Oil finish.
When all is said and done, there is usually a whole lot more said than done.

Very nice.
The purpleheart works well with the colors of the stained glass.

Thank you. Pulled it out of my scrap bin. I don't know anything about stained glass, but I figure I can make a frame. She's tickled pink with the results and she wants to hook up on some future projects. I did this job for free because I like the girl she was making the window for. What would one charge for a simple job like this?
