Stair hand rails
Hi all again has anyone ever built a stair hand rail we have a set of stair but no rails and I want to try and build one but have no idea on where to start or what to use. All I want is a simple nice timber and brass fittings hand rail so the misus can hold on to something when she has bub in arms and walking up them. The wall it needs to be attached to is around 3 metres long.
Cheers

I built mine using some 75*35mm timber and rounded over with a router on the top of the rail. I fixed it to the wall with recessed coach screws directly into the wall studs. To get the space between the wall and the rail I used a holesaw to cut a few wooden round spacers.
