Default New person on the block

    Greetings all.
I've just joined the group. I'm not a good wood-worker (well, that's what my Forth Form [Year Ten] Woodwork Teacher said all those years ago!), though I am trying to improve.

I've got a number of projects in mind, including building a new house, the shoe wall for SWMBO [loved the torsion boxes idea!], the various drink-supporting devices such as the Squatters Chair, the Morris Chair and the Adirondack chair and the dog's kennel (for the dog, not me!). It's a busy life ahead )

Love your work; the information, advice and hope you give to the ill-informed masses; enthusiastic amateurs and peeple-who-are-very-good-with-pieces-of-wood-and-metal.

    Cheers
    Charlie

Son drives a Ducati. Nice bike.

Lota is an eastern Brisbane suburb where there are lots of mangroves and mosquitoes and a rotten low level railway underpass. Other than that it's OK.

Yep, we've got mangroves and mossies [though not yet this summer - it's been too windy and wet of late ]. The "rotten low level railway underpass" is gone - it was replaced about 6 months ago with a charming high level concrete bridge.
