Synchronous stays
Hi all
I am building a small bar unit.
1500mm wide
1500mm (ish) high
400mm deep
The top part of it will have a lid that stays up and a front that will stay down and form part of a shelf.
I know I can use separate stays for both up and down but saw somewhere a unit like this that when you drop the shelf down the top went up at the same time, "synchronous"
I have rung the usual suspects, but no one seems to know where to get them and I am struggling to come up with any more keywords to search for !
Any help much appreciated
Thanks

I have a strong suspicion that what you're after doesn't exist and, if it did, it would be an absolutely huge mechanism (especially over 1500mm height) that would cost a fortune and not look particularly neat

Hey mate
Thanks for replying and its only the top probably 300mm that will drop down to become the shelf and then the top which will roughly be 400mm deep (both 1500mm wide)
Under this fold down shelf will be just a normal cupboard .

Ohhh, that's nothing like what I was thinking lol.
I still say they don't exist anymore; it's been 50 years since that style of cabinet was being made
